Pros

Great company culture (can't stress this enough). The culture starts from the top! Macbook Pros and a good screen. Coffee and snacks. Friday feed!!! (Lunch from random places) Great team. Everyone is nice and very talented. "Nice days" - can take a day-off anytime (5 days)

Cons

Office used to be in Ponsonby - I love Ponsonby but it was a bit far from the CBD so commute took longer than usual - but manageable. Now, new office is 20 minutes from Britomart!

"Culture eats strategy for breakfast," or so they say, and AskNicely is passionate about creating the best employee experience so we can deliver the best customer experience. As a start-up, it brings passionate, smart, and nice people to the table to create an amazing customer experience platform and provide legendary customer service. If you're looking to bring your skills and experience to the table and make immediate impacts, this is the place to be.

Cons

The usual growing pains for a start-up in terms of having a clear roadmap, but we're getting there, and great potential exists if we play our cards right.

Cool Location Open floor plan Snacks Cool co-workers, until they leave or get run off

Cons

Fake culture Leadership turns over on the regular -- especially the ones you like and that protect you and help you grow Insecure top level of leadership - CEO seems to not trust the people he hires and is easily angry even though he comes across as the opposite when you meet him as an outsider or during your interview One of those places you wish there were more honest reviews around to help others not walk into it or at least have a better picture Giving feedback or being honest is the fastest way to get fired or iced out at this "feedback" company

Hi there - thanks for taking the time to share your feedback - even the tough-to-read parts. I'm happy to report we're making good progress on many of the point you raise. This week we did a readout of our latest culture survey results (the good stuff AND the tricky bits) to the entire company and, importantly, what we're doing about the "work ons" that our team singled out. 86% of people said they were proud to work at AskNicely - not a perfect score yet but still pretty good! Of course, not everyone feels the same about every aspect so feedback (in all its forms) is super helpful and we'll continue to work on smoothing off the rough edges. Like most companies, there are areas where we need to do better and we're committed to getting a bit better everyday. Our next step is sharing our draft strategic plan which the whole team can contribute to - I'm pretty excited about that too. Thanks for your contribution and all the best for the future. Aaron.
