Pros

- LOVE the work culture, and the focus on mental health for clients AND staff. - Everyone is very kind and understanding. - Your team is your tribe, and they are really amazing people to work with and for! - Benefits are "ok"; You have options between HMO and PPO (free and paid for) - Great networking for future career in Social Services/ Mental Health. You meet a lot of people who work with county (I definitely recommend to those thinking of pursuing an advanced degree) - Great Vacation, Holiday, and Sick Time - Flexible Position & a good deal of personal autonomy throughout the working day

Cons

- Use of personal vehicle for work is REQUIRED. - Many responsibilities for comparatively little pay (this role is easily deserving of 25-30/hr for the responsibilities) - Benefits are unrealistic if you have a family or plan to have one (think $0-120 (per month) for one person/ $500-1500 (per month) for a family.) - This job is very mentally taxing. This can be said of any job in mental health, however, because of the demographic that they work with, there are always incidents, accidents, and occasional fatalities.

Pros

I have worked at Aspiranet for over 20 years. I have received amazing support from Supervisors throughout the years and continue to be in awe of the staff that provide direct support to children and families.

Cons

The job can be challenging because the youth we serve have complex trauma histories.
