Pros

It's a job, the work hours are traditional and weekly pay through temp agency.

Cons

Micromanaged. You are treated like a child. Extraordinary dumb rules. I.e.; Employees can't park in front of the building or a certain hallway is off limits because visitors may see you. Also Aerotek are liars. I ran into one person who was hired within ninety days. Their benefits suck once you become permanent and you have to justify using your time ... even your vacation time. The turnover rate is extremely high and it do not matter is you're a temp or you've been hired on perm. The managers are fake and most of the people who are there and has been there got to where they are kissing their butts. If you're in desperate need of an income ... desperate such as about to lose your car or apt/house then of course take this job but if you have offers don't settle here because of the pay. Keep searching.

Pros

Most people here are very friendly.

Cons

There's not a lot of knowledge here. Most of the employees, upper management, have been promoted into positions that they have little to zero experience in. Since promotions are rewarded on a political, not performance basis, this causes a lot of problems. The massive shift they're undergoing was supposed to save them millions at a cost of laying off a large portion of their workforce in the field and hiring much lower paid employees. However, they lost a ton of experience and, in the end, they couldn't lay off a lot of those field employees. So, in the field, they created a culture of fear and distrust with the most knowledgeable leaving for security. Many of those employees that made it through the first couple rounds of layoffs still aren't (shouldn't be) secure in their positions since the goal is still to get rid of them. Meanwhile, at HDQ, they spent millions building a new center and hiring tons of new employees....with poor directions, little training, unsustainable metrics. People are forced to work 12 hour days and....here there's also a culture of fear and distrust. Management regularly is fired/quits and those that are left, some are kind but, it's kinda topical since the goal is to rally the troops to get caught up and then start firing the people accomplished it. There's a lot of lip service about family values but, very little follow through. There are regular emotional outbursts from management that are supposed to be acceptable. Different departments seem to distrust each other. If there's any other position you're considering- regardless of the level you'd be hired in at- do it. There's a reason that most have a career under 2 years.
