Pros

Hours are very flexible. Unlimited PTO. The culture is great here. You can take as many off days, vacation days that your manager approves

Cons

You maybe required to work long hours (40-50 hour work weeks). You have to learn to adapt to change working at Asurion. Things are always changing. They are laying off 180 IT positions in the Application Development space.

Flexibility

Pros

The best part of this company is simply the flexibility they offer in terms of working from home and paid time off. With no official PTO policy, the expectation is that employees can take time off as they need it so long as they take care of any work deadlines. There are also plenty of opportunities to pursue whether it be in marketing, IT, finance, HR, etc.

Cons

Job security as evidenced by laying off 178 employees in IT.

Thanks for sharing your comments. We are happy to hear you are enjoying our flexible work environment and time off policy! We did make a strategic business realignment in December of 2014 resulting in the elimination of 178 positions, which represents less than 1% of our global workforce.

Pros

The majority of agents in general are a nice bunch,

Cons

A very rigid micromanaged organization, favoritism is the driver to promoting up along with other internal culture clicks. Very poor first line management, most have little to no experience. Management with regard to daily operations is completely numbers/stat based which is regurgitated back to the agents on a weekly basis. A very negative environment between the customers and the rigid expectations of the company. A very unstable environment in terms of job security.
