Pros

There are some truly great people that work at Asurion. The product development process (Journey Teams) works well, and enables PMs, designers, and engineers to work closely together. Benefits are decent, and you can feel free to really use the unlimited PTO.

Cons

Building products becomes a battle between the client team and product. Client teams will promise products and features to clients without first consulting product development, leading to conflicts. Building for the end user isn't as important as making Verizon happy. If VZ is happy, the end user doesn't matter. This can be disheartening to people who are passionate about creating products that people love. In fact, the product org lost many, many PMs in 2021 due a combination of this, as well as the politics one has to play in order to advance in any sense within the company. If you aren't drinking buddies with the directors and VPs, good luck moving up. And if you care about building awesome products, look elsewhere. None of them are innovative, and they typically tend to be rehashed products that can be packaged and sold to Verizon/AT&T/any of the big client's customers.

Pros

The people within the çompany seem really nice.

Cons

PPX is a joke. They tell you sales aren't the most important part of the job, but just to offer. That's no at all true. All they really care about is the sales. Your check is never the same and all though they say you have a pay rate, you don't get paid by it. Checks are always short and there are ALWAYS system issues. They try to act like it's your system knowing that it's not, otherwise they wouldn't keep trying to send out replacement equipment over and over again. Then there's the downtime from the system issue. They say don't worry, you're still getting paid but your hours are so messed up and your not getting paid correctly. I was missing 32 hours for almost a month and when they finally paid me for them it still wasn't the correct amount of hours and the bundled them with regular hours so the tax on them was ridiculous!!! They should have sent a separate check for the missing hours. The people on the attendance desk are very rude when you're calling out on systems issues. I feel that Everything within the company is smoke and mirrors.

Pros

Great insurance and benefits after 30 days. No disrespect to the company, there are some happy people here in other departments. The company is growing and is productive. I did not encounter or interact with Senior Management or the CEO.

Cons

ADVISEMENT, READ AND CHOOSE WISELY!!!! I usually do my research before accepting a new job and I did not research big mistake! Ridiculous high expectations. Two weeks of high intensive training. Too much to learn in two weeks then get on the phones to help customers. Paid $19 Per hour in training and after training $4.95 per call plus commission. After 30 days of training, you will be fired if you are not at 80% sales offer rate, even if you have computer errors and dropped calls that are beyond your control. They will count them against you. NOT FAIR! I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO TWO OF MY FRIENDS THAT WORKED HERE LESS THAN 30 DAYS AND QUIT! I WAS HOPEFUL AND HAD HIGHER EXPECTATIONS. FOLLOW YOUR FIRST MIND!
