Pros

It used to be a great company to work for.

Cons

It’s now ran by mostly white men who are all buddies and promote people that look and talk like them. The current leadership does not have empathy nor do they care for their employees.

Pros

Decent pay aside from thr fact you're going to destroy your vehicle

Cons

You will be responsible for everything while your coaches sit home (they work remote) and take credit for every single thing you accomplish. In home experts are responsible for getting to the FSL, get on a conference call every day, pick up the devices, drive your vehicle uptp 400 miles a day, activate, set up and transfer or retrieve the customers content, then finally offer Verizon home protection or AT&T protect all while your coach sits home and does whatever they want. I'm not even exaggerating, your coach will literally be eating or playing video fames while you're out there in the elements doing all the leg work and risking your safety on very dangerous back roads because Asurion will only pay milage on the shortest routes (which are the most dangerous). Asurion will dangle the carrot so to speak and tell your there is lots of advancement yet they just laid off 768 people from the company and they also look down on anyone who starts as an in home expert. If you're desperate for a job this will be fine but keep in mind IF ANYTHING happens to your vehicle you will get ZERO assistance from the comany and will have to take VDT (vehicle down time) which is unpaid time to fix the damage that will be caused from this position. As I said earlier your average drive will be 200-300 miles per day 5 days a week (do the math). Yes you will get paid milage but again when something happens its all on you out of your pocket. If you get into an accident Asurion will only pay your insurance deductible, that is it! Luckily for me I was able to quickly secure another position while quadrupaling my salary and also work remote. Asurion also rewards agents who fail at doing their jobs with cto, meaning those who sell the least go home with 4 hours of pay if they do not have scheduled jobs so if you do well do not expect any time off as those who fail will go home every day cto is available. In home agents literally do the most work and get nothing in return while those above you constanly get rewarded with bonuses, remote work, and much higher pay while you're out there making the company its profit. my advice is to stay as far away from this position and seek out a better opportunity! While writing this review i have one week left with Asurion and I did terrific month 1, 2 and 3 while month 4 i just wanted out. you will be promised the world but you will get absolutely nothing! You're only as good as your last sale here you can take that statement to the bank! When you speak to your recruiter about this position who will be painted a picture that does not reflect the actual position, when you go through training the will teach you absolutely nothing about the real life experience you will witness in the field. Last but not least Asurion will nickel and dime you at every corner. They again will pay you milage for the shortest and most dangerous route, will not help with any repairs or time it takes to do them, also WILL NOT PAY YOU ON THE WAY HOME NOMATTER HOW FAR IT IS. If you have a 3 hour ride home which you will you will not be paid for it as you have to clock out right after your final job is completed. you will only get paid milage on the ride home if you drive over 50 miles! If your ride home is 150 miles for example you will deduct 50 miles from that which obviously will pay you out 100 miles.

Thank you for your review. While change within an organization of our size is typical, we know the recent disruptions have been very challenging for all our employees. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback - as it helps Asurion to learn and grow.

Pros

Opportunity with work with agile talented people, innovating, flexible work environment

Cons

Frequent lay-offs every 1 to 2 years, lay-offs mostly do not consider job performance, if you are at the wrong place at the wrong time you are gone.
