Pros

Flexible work from home with opportunities for training and advancement

Cons

Laid us all off with no notice and little severance by the hundreds yesterday and didn't even give me time to prepare my team or say goodbye.

Pros

Remote, work from home, Flexible schedule, make own schedule, possibility to make as much or as little as you want (10 hr min), not on camera. Sent equipment.

Cons

Everything was great until we had to sell their insurance. Then everything was about pushing the insurance and not about tech-support. If I wanted to be a sales person I would’ve applied for a sales job. It was always about ratings and we had to speak to the customer a certain way so they would give us a five star rating but if there was no way we could help then we wouldn’t get a five star rating. It was a double edged sword. Little communication with higher ups, very restricted on computer which inhibited helping customers to the best of my ability. Rules would change and we were not told. I often said “when did that change?” We were trained for phones when job is chat. I never even saw the chat platform until the first day I signed on after training. When a job says “able to work independently” that means: You’re on your own!”

Pros

Consitent work, Training is pretty good, You meet some pretty good people on your team. You learn a pretty good amount of information about tech and the phone companies. Your keep up to date on your metrics weekly or bi weekly. You can develop a lot of technical knowledge for multiple smart devices. I really did like this position a lot more when it was all about the technical support.

Cons

Sometimes the changes made to you position might be something that was previously in your scope of support. The company doesn't seem like it has a lot of say in some escalted issues with tech, you will experiance a lot of cases that come thru over and over without the ability to resolve them. You will probably end up doing more than 1 proffesion in this position.
