      Demoralizing, poisonous place and managers to work

      Nothing that I have seen since 2012

      Many engineers have been laid off and several good ones left the company because of poor organization, poor management. The ones who stay are looking forward to leave ASAP. The office is driven by office politics, gossip and fear. It is also driven by paranoia. The managers are only concerned about saving their own tails. Instead of laying off the managers who fail consistently, they laid off engineers who did their best

      Pros

      Some of the people - helpful, hard working and driven.

      Cons

      Engineering types prevail. Consulting risk evaluated by old school engineers. At times risk averse to the point of being ineffectual. Bit of an old boys club in places. Sometimes middle managers act more like the public sector than the public sector themselves. Long contracts with bloated organisations result in 'consultants' going native.
