Offers a fair mount of vacation and sick time. Flexible hours. If you have a good local manager, the dysfunctional corporate structure makes it easy for them to manage local personnel and local clients fairly and correctly.
Cons
This company is being used to pay off the interest for a private equity firm. Cash is in very short supply and vendors are not being paid on time. Vendor invoices are often sitting unpaid for weeks AFTER the client pays us. Multiple environmental clients and staff have been lost as a result of this issue due to frustration and complaints from vendors. Corporate structure has been disorganized and communication between local offices and national programs is very poor. Chain of command is often confusing, employees are still unsure if local offices even have branch management. Several attempts to reorganize the corporate structure have been tried, but employees are still confused about leadership. After 4 years the entire company is still not on the same billing/invoice system. Extremely slow performance review process. Pay is below average for the industry. Corporate heads talk a lot about growth and communication, but little has come of it to improve either.
