Friendly colleagues and free coffee

Pros

Good CEO and some friendly colleagues. Will hire anyone without background checks (DBS). Easy interview. Free coffee. Free drinks annually.

Cons

Not a lot of career progression. A lot of young and inexperienced engineers.

Thank you for your feedback. We will make sure that we will carry out reference checks in the future. It is a challenge for us to hire experienced engineers as all of our products are developed in-house. The only way for them to gain the experience and knowledge is for us to train them after they join the company. Luckily we have low staff turnover and more than 80 staff have worked for Atmos for more than 5 years. As we continue to grow, more engineers have joined us recently.

Pros

Great pay, great work-life balance. Everyone is extremely helpful. CEO is very personable and makes an effort to know everyone on a one-to-one basis. Work is exciting. Not too much to overwhelm you but enough to keep you busy and interested. Has the feel of a small company that doesn't have the office politics bs, but has a large company presence in the industry

Cons

Could use more staff, but we've been constantly adding people so this concern is being addressed. Honestly, don't really have any other Cons I can think of

Thank you for your feedback. As you have observed, our team has continued to grow in order to meet the increased demand. To be truly innovative we need to test out different ideas. Sometimes it means making a loss for a period of time before the product is improved and accepted by a wider customer base. This is the innovator's dilemma. We are investing in our long term future!

Pros

Flexible working hours - must be in the office between 9:30 and 3, but otherwise can choose to work at any time between 7am/7pm. Good office culture, people are friendly. CEO pushing to be designated a 'best company to work for' via paid-for work outings, employee engagement etc. Job involves worldwide travel which is a plus. Business is growing and developing.

Cons

Training process needs work but they're working on this. Overtime is unpaid and it can be difficult to recoup hours if you go over. Busy periods are unavoidable due to working to project plans.
