Pros

I love how I work with innovative and forward thinking people! Also, I feel I have always had opportunity to advance my skills there.

Cons

One downside of working at Atria is that the departments feel pretty separate - at least from the marketing side. I never find myself interacting like a complete team with other departments like I desire.

Pros

GREAT residents. It's like you're working for friends instead of customer. Nice sense of community. Great sense of working together -- people in other departments will sometimes step in where help is needed. Employees generally seem happy to come to work. Great for entry-level

Cons

Very few (if any) opportunities for GROWTH! Corporate rules with an iron fist -- no room for creation of jobs based on what each individual needs. Must follow a structure set by corporate. Too much turnover between management and hourly employees (out of 5 departments, only one department manager stayed the duration of my 3.5 years there) Pay very low for as much work as you were doing. You cannot take many holidays off.

Pros

The residents. Although the salary and bonus program were quite good, that is all there is good to say about this company.

Cons

No training. Accountability is not the same for everyone. Long, long hours with no appreciation for the commitment. Very critical even when upper management does not have all the facts. They are too afraid of union organization with their hourly employees making it very difficult to actually run a community.
