Pros

Love the residents, beautifully clean buildings and some of the coworkers. It's a good philosophy of what senior care should be...but it's only a theory. The CEO John Moore is a very nice man and would always remember names.

Cons

The upper management is all about the almighty dollar. Very little training and almost no support from those out in place to help. When you complain about the Avalanche of work thrown at you and that you need help or at least competent managers of other departments, you are grown to the wolves and blamed for the break down several departments, even though it's things you been asking for assistance for several months to several different managers...your boss, your bosses boss and their boss. The first year was great, but after that, it went down hill fast. Some of the regional/divisional directors are not effective at their jobs and once you realize this, you are targeted as someone they want to get rid of.

Not the best if your directors don't support you

Pros

The residents, hours, raise every year, Atria Rewards party with cool prizes and games, we get a bonus if we pass Quality Enhancement, as well as if the customer satisfaction surveys are above a certain percentage.

Cons

Terrible management, the raise you receive is ridiculously low (I got 14 cents this year), and you are poorly valued.

Pros

Loved working with residents, families, and some staff.

Cons

Upper management. When they want to get rid of employees they are only interested employees that have bad things to say. I was told by employees that when they were interviewed they were told to tell negative complaints only. As the person handling HR responsibilities I was penalized for doing my job. The complaints came from employees that had trouble with attendance or behavior. Directors have no say when they are being investigated. They cannot defend themselves and other employees cannot defend them. The hourly staff threatens management with calling the hotline if they don't get what they want. I wish I could give lower than one star because they don't deserve any.
