Pros

Fully distributed, remote based team Weekly Pay

Cons

Aurea, in general, is a con. Pun intended. The model is interesting and the deal volume is high, but Executive Leadership seems to think that no other team members understand what the reality here is - which is run on the leanest margins possible, jack up contract values as much possible and keep it moving. Instead of being honest internally about what is really happening - they keep up this facade/ marketing spin of being a customer-focused company. Nothing could be further from the truth and anyone on the account team with even a smidge of critical thinking skills can figure that out. One can only assume this devotion to the internal facade/marketing spin is why the middle management team is so poor. A bunch of underachieving Yes Men to enforce the facade driven directives of the ELT. Success is absolutely not the metric for promotion at Aurea - it's being a numbskull who will blindly follow whatever their direct manager tells them to do. Bonus points if your main focus is figuring out creative ways to take credit for your team's work while giving them no support - just headaches and busy work related to new customer outreach initiatives that are doomed to failure. The amount of time wasted on bs is OFF THE CHARTS. Sales and account teams get frequently repurposed to chase outstanding invoices because the teams for those jobs are not adequately trained and are underpaid with high turnover and no motivation to follow through and complete their work processes. Anyone who has been on the account team longer than a few months is looking for a job - morale is at an all-time low. I have a foot out the door and I know of several others planning to get out by end of year.

Pros

None I can think of

Cons

Our company was recently acquired, and the CEO sold it as some great thing. It doesnt take too long to realize that they just get rid of all of the employees and send the jobs oversees. The company says it is all about the customers, but how can you care about the customers if you get rid of all of the customer facings roles in order to save a couple dollars?

Pros

Remote Work Opportunity is a benefit.

Cons

No job security, No vacation, No career growth. You are a part of a team that is willing to get rid of you tomorrow. If you like job security - do not look here.
