Pros

Management/Supervisors are suuuper supportive and help you with any help you may need. Whether it’s with your client, having trouble with the database, or even having a bad mental health day, they are super supportive and understandable.

Cons

Some clients can get intense since they’re not used to it, but need time to get used to it. Family might cancel and if they do you have to cover for other BT’s that need coverage.

The dedication of our amazing employees is what sets ALP apart and what we believe makes us special. We agree working as a Behavior Technician is indeed a great way to get started in the field of ABA! For people majoring in areas like Psychology and Child Development, this could be a perfect position as many of our clients are looking for part-time hours. ALP appreciates your feedback and passion for the field.

Thanks for sharing details with us about your impactful journey with ALP. We appreciate your passion and efforts towards changing lives. As a Behavior Technician, we understand the demands that come with the job, both physically and mentally. While the role is incredibly rewarding, it can also take a toll. That's why we've put together a variety of resources to support those who may be feeling overwhelmed. Whether it's additional support and training from your regional Field Trainer or direct Supervisor, we want to make sure our staff have the resources they need to take care of themselves. At the end of the day, work-life balance is a priority for us and we’re committed to doing everything we can to ensure that our staff is well cared for. Thank you again for everything you do to support our Utah families every day!

First, we’d like to thank you for making a difference with us. Your commitment to creating a positive work environment, participating in training, and especially your flexibility with your hours truly helped make a difference in our organization. At the end of the day, our goal is to empower our employees by providing a variety of scheduling options that allow them to work in a way that best supports their needs, as well as the needs of their families. We understand that working in a clinical position can be challenging, which is why we strive to support our staff in every way possible, including offering benefits for those who don’t work full-time hours. We have benefit packages available for employees who work as little as 20 hours per week, which many of our Behavior Technicians can access. As a leader in the ABA industry, ALP uses evidence-based, family-oriented autism therapies with our children and families. Our blended model and naturalistic approach are tailored to each case, empowering our clinicians to passionately practice the art of their science while providing our clients and their families with the skills, resources and confidence they need to progress. We wish you the best of luck in your future career.
