Pros

Helping customers Z net was best thing AutoZone did in the 14 years I was there.

Cons

Selling extra stuff customers don't need. Big push to sell you don't want to be on the bottom. Five times A week you have to be on one call or another. With the hours we get this leave store short.

Pros

Checks don't bounce, 20% discount, working with good people at the store level.

Cons

Cut already tight payroll on a whim, way too many KPI's (even have a report about reports) expect employees to install batteries, lights and many other things with no training or payroll to do so, upper managers (district, region ect..) are completely clueless and inept.. benefit costs are absorbent (about $650 mo for a family) having to do the same planograms over and over.. use of threats and intimidation and bullying to motivate employees,
