Pros

.Well funded. If you get a peripheral role in the org, you could ride it out as the chaos is so bad you'll get very little done.

Cons

Sweat shop.. chaotic place with clueless layers of management. Lots of managers, no workers. Engineering is so badly run, with no process or collaboration and unreasonable timelines. The team in India is impossible to work with. Overcrowded offices - place is pig sty in Summer with the interns. Very poor pay - the promise lies in the stock going somewhere. Without the necessary execution, likely an acquisition target.

Hello -- Thank you for your candid review. We're sorry that you had a bad experience. To respond quickly to the items you mention: * Chaos: blitz-scaling is tough, and certainly feels chaotic at times. We feel that "no process or collaboration" is probably hyperbole, as the facts are that we're shipping complex software regularly, and we've got loyal customers that highly value our software and services. We certainly aspire to ever-better process and collaboration -- especially since what worked yesterday typically won't work tomorrow, given the rapidity of our change and evolution. * Cross-regional collaboration difficulties: it's unclear what your difficulties were specifically, but we've done some management and leadership development workshops with teams that collaborate between the US and India, and identified that there are some effective practices, as well as some challenges to overcome, and we have a team of engineering leaders who are aware of and who are working to address the issues. * Overcrowding: True. We're once again bursting at the seams thanks to growth that seems to continually outpace our ability to lease and configure new office spaces. Even with the opening just over a month ago of our third building in San Jose, we're again nearing full capacity. * Pay: we continuously benchmark our pay to ensure it's competitive and that we're able to woo excellent and talented people. We've also hired a new global leader for compensation to ensure that our strategy is sound and well-executed. It's true that equity compensation is a major component of the total compensation package, as is the case at most technology startups, and that's why we're all working hard to ensure that the "somewhere" it goes is up and to the right of where it is today. Thank you again for raising these issues and providing the talent community with your insights into our challenges and opportunities.

Pros

Some very talented and experienced people work here. Pay is above market rate (to make up for lacking benefits).

Cons

Just about everything else. Working at Automation Anywhere has opened my eyes to what I don't want in the next company I work for. They are unethical, paranoid, and ruthless. If you stand up for yourself and you have a manager who is a higher management minion, you will probably be worked out of the company soon under the guise of some heinous accusation about your performance. Greed has taken away humanity at AAI, so don't bother working yourself half to death for this place just to realise you and your well-being mean nothing to them. You will hear "Rocket Ship Growth!" as an excuse for them to work you to the bone and treat you like crap often.

Pros

I liked AAI and enjoyed working with great people.

Cons

The executive managed the layoffs in the worst possible way. When UiPath was laying off, some of the executive team were making comments on linkedin left and right. But when it came to themselves, they managed the whole process in the worst possible way. Now, they are making marketing efforts to say they are hiring!!!

We are sorry that we were unable to meet individually with each person impacted by the recent RIF. We agree that there are great people at AAI and we genuinely miss everyone who left - we are not replacing the positions effected.. Best wishes to you for the future.
