Pros

I joined this company more than 2 years ago and since then I have seen Automation Anywhere's exponential growth. It's more diversified, culture is more vibrant, expanded from one office space to 3 wonderful office spaces. Initially I was a little skeptical about my decision but I didn't know when and where I started feeling like this is my family. I am very happy that I don't have to deal with weird political situations. You matter, if you are willing to contribute to the success of the company. You work from home or you go to office, that is your choice. It doesn't make you a favorite or less favorite employee. They started serving wonderful free lunches on Wednesday, If you are given an opportunity to join AA, It's worth it.

Cons

We have presence in different time-zones and there are times when you have to sacrifice your family time.

Best Onboarding Experience

Pros

An epic day @ Automation Anywhere orientation! This by far was one of the best orientation days I’ve had in a long long time. Such a boutique feel where every step was so well thought out and choreographed to make us feel the love and pride! We had fun bringing to life each core value through energizing improv activities. To top it off we were sent away with a special box of newbie snacks with a big orange balloon to place on our desks and to share with new office mates and neighbors. Such a thoughtful day with great visits from all the right experts to get us ready to Go Be Great!

Cons

If you like to be challenged to do things a bit differently and have autonomy to approach innovation through collaboration, then this may be the perfect place for you.

Thank you for the review, and for your appreciation of onboarding. We've put a lot of effort into improving onboarding in San Jose and think we're getting closer to our target there. To be fair and to keep expectations in check, we haven't yet figured out how to onboard all colleagues -- especially those in the field who aren't working out of one of our big offices -- but we have people working full time on improving the onboarding experience for everyone around the world in the hopes that more folks will have as awesome a first day and week as you had.

Clean Up From the Top Down

Pros

Technology innovation Hard workers Some really smart people

Cons

Zero alignment: Too many chiefs with drastically conflicting priorities demanding unrealistic results. Hire/fire Frenzy: Hiring senior managers who can’t do the work while firing those who can. Unattainable sales numbers and lack of qualified resources to deliver. Manage by intimidation & major finger pointing. Who’s in charge? Changes daily.

Thank you for the review. I think you've hit on a very real aspect of where we are right now, so I want to share some corroborating feedback from colleagues about this concern. It is true that we have a hugely ambitious set of work that we've taken on. What's more, it's also true that not all of the work is aligned to weed out redundant efforts, to find opportunities for collaboration, and to create more of a clear priorities slate. This feels overwhelming for team members who are in the midst of one of these high-change, low-alignment work groups. We're aware of the issue and we're tackling it with a multi-part approach: (1) We're training leaders on prioritization and alignment mechanisms that will result in better cross-team coordination and fewer competing priorities. In the last three months alone, we've trained approximately 170 of our company's leaders and managers, and have identified additional training and reinforcement mechanisms for this group going forward. (2) We're being open with leaders about the survey data from their team members, and what they (the leaders) will need to address in order to create a more sustainable work pace. We're optimistic about the effort bearing fruit, and are keeping a close watch on the measures related to these issues (if you were here in May 2019, you may recall that more than 10 questions related to the issues you raise in your review). Thank you for your thoughtful and direct review. We can and will do better with regards to the issues you raise. -v
