      Hardworking culture and a great hospitality concept

      Pros

      People are very passionate about the value prop of the company, with good reason! STR hospitality is an exciting space with plenty of room for growth. The leadership presents a strong vision, and most employee are super hard workers and great communicators. As we grow and become more organized/ efficient I have no doubt AvantStay will be very successful.

      Cons

      The company has a long way to go in terms of building a top work culture that enables employees to thrive. Mentorship, career paths, hiring, training, HR check-ins, cross-team understanding, etc are all areas for improvement.

      Great opportunity in a growing market

      - Great mentorship - Very collaborative across teams - You are given responsibility to help the company grow from Day 1 - Fun and friendly people to work with - You have enough independence in your role yet still have people to rely on for help - Business model is fantastic and will be a huge company in the hospitality industry soon

      Cons

      - Because it is such a young company, you will have to wear many hats. But you can use this as an opportunity to learn

      Homeowners/Employees Beware

      Pros

      Flexible weekly schedule, employees operate on a trust system.

      Cons

      Upper management constantly changes, you will train those making more and they will do less. Does not promote from within. Fails to pay vendors on time but upcharges guests/owners every opportunity possible. Regional managers/directors do not hold professional licenses in property management/real estate. Company is driven by their personal tech development and low nightly rates, homes suffer as a result. There's no chance I would ever sign a management agreement w/ this company after interviewing the local team.
