Pros

The people make the work environment amazing! They are not just my co-workers they are my second family. Recently the CEO started a non-profit organization called "AG Cares Foundation". The foundation is funded by the team members of AvantGuard and the company matches donations dollar for dollar . The foundation serves as an employee assistance fund to help out our team members when they fall into an emergent situation. The CEO, Josh Garner really cares about each and everyone of his team members. He monitors alarms side by side with his team members and has recently made an effort to meet with every team member that works for his company.

Cons

This company doesn't pay as much as other companies in our area, BUT we don't have to sell anything we only help save lives. It seems like in this world that doing the thing that matters most doesn't usually provide the best paycheck. I am okay with that.

My coworkers were super nice

Cons

If you don't have a good coach, you won't get much of any support ESPECIALLY if you're going through something rough. A family member could die before your shift and they'd still dock you points for calling out. Most coaches will help you find coverage, but don't bet on it. They act like they care, but their actions say otherwise. I wouldn't work here if you care about your mental stability.

Convenient, work from home available, good people.

Cons

Not flexible, weekends required, strict attendance policies, repetitive work, sitting for long periods of time, no PTO, unrealistic standards for stats and huge focus on speed. Boring, little interaction with coworkers if remote. Not enough level 3 trained operators to find coverage or keep up with traffic.
