Pros

The people here are super fun and create an awesome environment. It is easy to get help when you need it and training is very detailed and thorough so that you feel prepared to take calls.

Cons

When you need time off you have to put in the request one month in advance, no less so it can be hard to get days off if something comes up.

Pros

Company actively works toward improving current systems & finding new avenues to continue growth. +++ University students are highly regarded for positions, and offered respectable starting pay. + Employees can support one another via AG Cares - an organization to give back to the community and internal employees. ++ Relaxed environment with motivated co-workers. Sense of unity is strong in IT with a smaller team that cares about one another. Work-life balance is encouraged. ++ Loyalty is appreciated. +

Cons

Communication can be rocky between departments. - Tough to have your voice heard upward unless you are working on something for someone. Simultaneously, this also can make it difficult to challenge management for personal growth. --

Pros

AvantGuard does a lot so that even during COVID, their employees still feel appreciated and valued. One thing that has really impressed me, is that they know that they are usually not going to be where someone works for the rest of their life, and they encourage their employees to ask for opportunities and develop skills that they can use in their next endeavor. They are constantly giving front-line employees the opportunity to grow into coaching and management roles and get valuable leadership experiences. This is a company with a conscience, and the way they treat their employees really helps to create an amazing work environment. They are also extremely flexible in the schedules and hours that they offer so that they can easily accommodate their employees school or other work schedules.

Cons

If you are entering Avantguard at the frontline as an operator, you will be spending all of your time taking calls. If you are not interested in working in a call center environment, you would probably be better suited elsewhere.
