They work around your schedule and try to help you in many different ways. Really decent benefits as well as pay. Great environment with co-workers.

I love AG!

Pros

This is the best work environment I've ever worked in. The people at Avantguard are amazing, and the company does a great job to keep things fun and rewarding. This company gives many opportunities to develop skills and move up in leadership. AG recognizes that being an alarm operator will not turn into a career for many people, but they still invest in their employees and give them valuable experience that they can use when they move on to their long-term employment goals. On top of that, lots of people think they will only stay at AG for a short time, but end up staying for years because of all of the opportunities they end up having! Overall, just such a good place to work.

Cons

Starting out as an alarm operator is a great job, but some people don't enjoy sitting for so long, or need more face-to-face interaction with people (rather than just talking over the phone). AG gives lots of opportunities to interact with coworkers, so there is lots of face-to-face interaction with other employees, however there is still a lot of time spent on the phones.

Pros

The pros of working here are numerous. The people are the best ever, you'll make great friends here. The pay is pretty great starting out too! Very flexible scheduling too! Tuition reimbursement and possibilities for grants for those in need.

Cons

Sometimes its stressful because we are saving peoples lives and property so that can be draining. (but rewarding)
