Manager is good person to work for. Salary is excellent. Freedom to do a good job with limited supervision is fulfilling.

Cons

Limited "Growth" potential within the company. Not much going on there.

- Still some great people within the organization - Opportunity as an entry-level engineer to immediately contribute - great place to get experience as an engineer

Cons

- very high turnover, low employee morale - Good times are definitely long since gone - politics can get to be overbearing

Pros

I believe Axcelis has above-average compensation package and the benefits package that is top tier within industry. Dynamic environment and the nature of business will ensure variety in projects. High personel turnaround means more frequent opportunities for advancement, provided you survive the RIFs.

Cons

Frequient layoffs - about 2 to 3 per year. Last one was severe , 20% of co. - 2008 Christmass gift. This makes for very uncomfortable work environment.
