      Pros

      Axios has a flexible start-up environment that wants employees to thrive and feel like it is their best job ever. Leadership is open to hearing ideas and letting employees pitch them on everything from snack suggestions to company policy .

      Cons

      a lot of employees wish that the DC office was more centrally located in DC, but it is easily accessible off the Clarendon metro

      Pros

      Execs/management all seem to very much care about the well-being of employees. They take feedback seriously, even when it is minor trivial things. Many positions are remote friendly, and everyone does a great job of keeping communication channels open. This job has had some of the most stressful and hard work I've had in my career, but it always feels like I'm being appreciated for the hard work.

      Cons

      It's a fast moving startup. Personally, I've had nothing exceptionally negative happening, but it is still a young company.

      Company is smart, ambitious, and remarkably well-organized considering its speedy growth

      Cons

      It's a start-up and the expectation (at least on the content side) is: work when there's news. Journalists are usually fine with that but if you're not it could be an issue.
