Thank you for your review. The JBA program is unique in that we provide a high-level of exposure early on in your career and put a large focus on training and development. Once promoted out of this program, high performing analysts are quickly moved into more responsible roles. When considering the entirety of our compensation package, the salary plus discretionary merit-based semi-annual bonus is competitive.

Pros

If you're a recent graduate the JSA rotational program will give you the opportunity to get experience in different financial functions. If experienced personnel perform well they will be able to move around too.

Cons

Extremely high turnover - you'll be required to figure things out on the fly, there are not that many staff with institutional knowledge and they are in high demand by many other employees. Experienced professionals will be working 12+ hours/day (and the company only caters lunches for SVP's and FVP's - many of whom are never seen in the office after 5:30). Pay is inadequate for the sacrifices you'll be required to make if you want to move up, and the semi-annual bonus doesn't make up for that shortfall. There are some sharp hard-working people there, and people are nice, but the rewards are not worth the demands.

From a total compensation perspective, Axos is at or above market for individuals who perform. Our meritocracy provides an opportunity to reward those individuals who contribute to their team and the company. With the exponential growth Axos has had over the last 5 years, individuals are provided the opportunity to make an impact and work side by side with senior leadership. You are able to brainstorm new ideas and see the results of your labor in real-time, as opposed to repeating the same task over and over. You have the ability to pursue areas of interest (once key skills are developed) which remains embedded in the culture allowing for professionals to work closely with the business units and understand the economics, as well as the accounting. Since COVID, Axos has continued to invest in the team and its infrastructure with investments in its ERP and other software and training for the team, in order to support the growth of the company.
