Pros

Higher than average pay. Good benefits. Ability to move positions after a year.

Cons

Micromanagement from people who are not your direct boss. You put a lot of miles into your vehicle. HIGH SALES PRESSURE. It is never enough. Schedule hours can include early mornings, late nights. Conference calls twice a day to talk about production and multiple check ins throughout the day.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you’re satisfied with our compensation and benefits, as well as our internal mobility model. However, we’re sorry that you’ve had some negative experiences during your time here. Pressuring team members to sell products is never acceptable, as we encourage all employees to put our customers first and service their needs vs. pushing products. We also understand your frustration with the number of production calls you are attending, and will share this feedback with the appropriate leaders. So that we can learn more about your experience and make productive changes, please reach out to us at 1-888-474-3575 or any of the bank's anonymous reporting channels.

Pros

Good salary, will pay high salary but lie to you about how the bonus compensation works. Made so much more money in prior positions. Learned a lot from making the worst career decision in my life.

Cons

All web based training, and very ineffective No on boarding for new hires No direction from management because they are clueless and not fit to be in management No breakdown of processes Upper management clueless to how day to day life actually is No support from management Internal turmoil over assigned credit Compensation plan changes during the year High, high , high turnover. HIGH!! Chop shop of banking. Unhappy workplace No system in place for any improvement Management does not communicate ( I.e, answer their phone or return emails ) consistently on a daily basis Zero people on team performing to minimum standards No local marketing No regional presence Awful customer service support Antiquated computer systems Company prides itself on being digital banking leader yet cannot perform minimum functions necessary of bank Hired external candidate for management and they had NO previous management experience, in fact, they were getting managed out of their Business Relationship Manager position for not producing in any categories at their previous bank Quickly saw right through all of their BS and did not believe in them at all. This same manager threatened my family in a one on one meeting saying that they would “hate for anything negative to happen to my family if I did not book a loan by the end of February”. (Keep in mind, this was said to me while I was still in training) Total POS of a person. Clearly not fit for management. Very unprofessional. Did not threaten any of "their hires" that were at the bottom of the rankings. Did everything they could to protect "their hires". Heard from multiple people in the local banking industry that he wanted to "push out" current employees from their roles so that they could bring in their people, but keep in mind the people that they brought in were very weak. Underwriting in Birmingham and they have NO knowledge of the local market in California. (The opposite of this was told to me during my interview when I asked, was told they have “special dedicated underwriters for California deals and they are experts on the market”) Cannot do lines of credit based on A/R’s. Major disadvantage. Average loan takes 60-90 days to complete. SLOW underwriting and processing. SBA division is an absolute joke! Cannot utilize your COIs because you can never set accurate expectations on when a loan will be complete because there is no sense of urgency from underwriters and processors. Management is clueless on how the bank is run. You can’t count on them for any sort of direction or answers to questions on completing tasks. They also have absolutely no pull with the underwriters. The underwriters think the sales area managers are jokes. Bonus compensation is the worst in the banking industry for this type of a position. (Again this was another item that was explained very inaccurately to me in the interview process. Bonus compensation was VERY DIFFERENT then what was explained to me.)
