Delivery Gets Left Holding the Bag

Pros

BT has a lot of interesting clients in multi-national companies so you will be exposed to some interesting industries and there are a few international opportunities.

Cons

All roads lead back to London so employees in the US and Regional offices are second class. Contracts are signed with unreasonable promises being made to the client on delivery timelines. Delivery centers & support teams are remote and are often over-allocated so they don't meet timelines. They don't care either because they are not client-facing, but you are! Turnover in the centers is an issue.

Pros

The company pays well and has strong possibilities to compete effectively. Work life balance is high priority.

Cons

Not competitive in U.S. Does not have many of its own points of presence which makes access costs very high. Not very good at installation and implementation of products and services. High turnover in sales people. Has not had a green field win in U.S. in over three years. Losing existing customers.

Pros

There is a lot of training available if you build the right relationships.

Cons

The company is very large and broken up. It is tough accomplish anything with HR. Raises only happen if you have an offer in hand and you on a high billing engagement. Bonuses are hardly worth it every quarter Advise loses money and greater BT boasts huge profits... BT is all who you know not what you know. Advancement only comes from having a relationship with people above you.
