Management!!! Lack of promotions and managements lack of foresight to see people of need and driving away quality individuals. Cutting benefits every year, just little by little whittling away and all desire to work at this company

Pros

Very stable company that supports the Navy. Lots of pride working for BWXT.

Cons

Typical corporate company only out to make money for the board and senior management, to the detriment of employee morale and motivation. Pay raises are less than the national average and minimal at best. Bonuses are a joke.

Pros

If it's your thing, you can sit in a cube all day and few people will bother you. The work is fairly prestigious too. My immediate manager is good. The job security is good too.

Cons

A lot of corporate overreaching. Spend all day in a cube. They were quick to enforce vaccine and mask mandates before the government even issued any statements. Hardly any hands-on work and it gets to be mundane pretty quickly. They could save you hours and hours with more proper training, which is necessary because their software and overall organization is horrendous to navigate. You also have to log every hour you spent on which task every day. Little room for growth; I feel like I'd have to be here 20 years for any sort of promotion.
