1. The company is not serious about running efficiently or making lasting changes to the way the business is run. Products that require a couple days to manufacture take 6 years to leave the factory because of all the waiting/downtime/scheduling/administrative nonsense.
2. Knowledge retention. Job "hopping" is incentivized, so everyone changes jobs every couple of years, leaving lots of people who know little about what they're doing (i.e,, the employee knowledge base is wide but shallow). People with lots of experience are overlooked, so they leave their roles and all the knowledge gained is lost.
3. Too many rules and regulations; it's stifling.
4. Management prioritizes things that don't matter (non-production related work). A good deal of work assigned has no real value. Total waste of time.
5. Depending on the job, the workload can be excessive. Some people work the amount of 2-jobs and do so by working on weekends.
