A well ran, fully profitable startup with a great work culture!

Pros

Amazing pay especially when compared to market averages. Workspace feels collaborative and inspiring. Workplace culture is very lively, quirky and familial. A fully profitable startup with minimal investment money makes this a rare breed in the silicon valley startup world. The large growth in the last couple of years inspires a lot of long-term job confidence. Great benefits including a generous fund to outfit your home/office workspace.

Cons

We seem to be outgrowing our current office space. Limited parking options in the surrounding area.

Pros

- Established startup with a compelling and industry leading product - Every company claims that their employees are their most important asset, but few are willing to back it up the way Backblaze does. - Generous allowance to outfit your home office - Breakfast and lunch several times per week - Monthly happy hours hosted on a rotating basis by each group - Quarterly movie outings - Great coffee - Zero contribution medical. For your entire family! - Quirky but fun and funky office

Cons

- Open office gets noisy - San Mateo location is an awkward commute for most

Pros

* Great People -> Open, transparent culture with shockingly little politicking * Genuine care for the team and for customers -> We put legitimate effort into trying to manage workloads, setting reasonable deadlines, all while being deeply concerned about doing the right thing for our customers * Growing, profitable business. Our team is in financial control of the business and we run it sustainably. It's a place I can be confident in investing my career in * Fun. Backup is one of the least sexy things on the planet... but it's fun coming to work and solving interesting challenges alongside good people that also like taking the time to live life.

Cons

* High growth business means there's a lot of stuff to do. * Transparent culture that maintains a relatively flat organization means that sometimes things can take longer than they ought to
