      Poor Training Programs

      Pros

      Paid Vacations. Good PTO. Cool Office.

      Cons

      The company refuses to do hands on trainings and you have to take test after test. There is no room for error or growth. They are very hard on their employees and the management is terrifying.

      Thank you for your comment. While learning new software, systems, and a new role can be difficult, our main goal is to help our employees grow from good to great. The training offered varies from department to department and is based on the software and systems each employee needs to learn for their role. Dedicated trainers and managers are heavily involved in the training provided to ensure that each new hire can successfully perform their role following their training period.       Seems great, but they're resistant to change

      Pros

      They're transparent with their employees about their financials. They hold monthly meetings to share financials, what's new, introduce new employees. Their HR team is amazing, friendly, accessible, open and positive. Their benefits are on par with other companies of like size. They encourage people to learn and grow.

      Cons

      They have a couple of underlying negative sub-cultures: They seem friendly, open and cooperative in person, but then they undermine people behind closed doors. It's a widespread culture at all levels of the company, but it's particularly visible with executive leadership, in marketing and CX. And if you're an easy-going personality, you'll love it at BambooHR. If you're a stronger personality type, like to change things up, or bring diversity of thought, this isn't the place for you. Your ideas will be welcomed if they fit within a certain "conservative" container.

      Truly Exceptional Company

      Pros

      BambooHR is a company that really practices what they preach. We focus heavily on the values and mission and strive to get better every day. The environment is very happy, welcoming, and friendly. The people are incredible! I love everyone I get to work with! The product is amazing and our teams are constantly working towards making it every better. I feel valued by my team, and know the work I put in makes a difference. Best place I've worked!

      Cons

      As of late - focus has shifted a lot and everything feels more about the bottom line. Overall, this isn't a bad thing at all! I'm glad there are focuses around efficiencies and growth, and of course, change is going to come with some stretching. BUT - when those focuses start to strip away everything that makes us love BambooHR... when really dedicated people who have always raved about BambooHR are starting to disengage and are toying with the idea of leaving.. that should be a big red flag for management. Leadership changed, and pieces throughout the entire org are lesser for it.
