      A good job to start at to get experience in customer service.

      Pros

      Gain a lot of knowledge about customer service and retail sales.

      Cons

      Stressful work environment to always make sale targets. High turnover of managers and associates so it's hard to work together because there are always new people who don't know what they are doing and are always in training. Higher management comes in the store periodically to mainly criticise everything that is wrong right after a floorset is completed. There is little room for moving up in the company because new managers are brought in from other companies, and so they don't know what they are doing and they rely on asking lower associates what to do - when it should be that lower associates that should be promoted.

      Pros

      Friendly environment, very positive, intelligent management who are very supportive. Lots of flexibility. Fair discount. Also, BBW has a great guarantee on its products, which is really helpful when promoting the company or a product. It's nice to work for a company that stands behind its products.

      Cons

      It's not for you if you don't care for working on weekends or near the holidays, but that's retail! Also, due to the structure of the company, there is limited opportunity for growth/ moving up.

      Cons

      Very little career advancement unless you are favored. Certain management can make your life difficult. Your supervisor can micromanage you to the point of wanting to walk out. Store Managers don't get to run their own stores, every action had to be approved to the point of absurdity. Upper management, DMs specifically, uneducated and not tested in the field. They throw a lot of tasks on your plate then say that customer service is number one priority. When you handle customer service first they question why tasks aren't complete. Hypocritical. Huge lack of leadership in this organization.
