Pros

Bausch and Lomb has a strong company history, a large portfolio, a skilled and very friendly staff. They offer decent pay and benefits for the most part.

Cons

Valeant's corporate strategy is challenging--especially the lack of emphasis on R&D. Vacation time is not at all impressive. Currently there are rounds of layoffs every few months which is damaging for morale.

Pros

3 weeks vacation and good benefits

Cons

The company was purchased by Valeant Pharma in August 2013. Since then the company culture has changed dramatically. People are overworked and can barely take a day off. The company let go of most Bausch + Lomb so whoever is left, picks up the work of the entire department.
