Pros

Fun work, people great to work with most of the time. Money SUCKED, no where near what is advertised on this site. Most of time, people were easy to deal with.

Cons

Management does not seem to exist. People are blamed for failures, when it isn't even closely related to their fault. Processes are decades outdated. Computers on average 10+ years old - still running Windows XP. Internal applications VERY buggy, crash ALL the time. Internal Wireless network - operating on single channel - so goes down for several hours per shift. Have more processes in place to prevent failures, not continuing to cover up in adequate technology, and process control. Get rid of current guy in charge of maintenance.. He has no training, or background for current position, and rarely fixes stuff correctly, in a timely manner. Things are are claimed to be Fixed, rarely stay fixed, and break over and over, even after being reported multiple times. No standards for packing, no standards for label placement, no shipping training available for new associates. Electronic documents are not available on site, as server for these is in NY. What if an emergency occured, and hi speed link was not available ? What happens then...no docs available at all on process or procedures locally.

Pros

At B&L we were building a culture committed to doing what is right, always! Pay and benefits were great! Perks were very good, between flexible schedules, unsurpassed 401K; rewards for efforts. Management tried to listen to people on the front lines. B&L was great, would do it again! Once Valeant took over things changed - see cons below.

Cons

Now that Valeant has taken over, everything has gone down the tubes. Valeant does not have the same commitments as Bausch. They do not care about their employees - only the bottom line. Everything we heard about what Valeant did to other buyouts came true! They are committed to destroying all central services, and only support manufacturing and sales! Their corporate offices reflect this - you will have VPs running around looking for a form, because they have let all of the administrative assistants go! The CEO is only working with Wall St., not the company!
