Pros

Everyone in the department (ED) works as a team. Always willing to help out. Everyone always strives to provide the best patient care possible. As a newer nurse, questions are encouraged and there are lots of natural educators that are always willing to help.

Cons

No retirement matching for one year. Lack of communication between HR and departments. Delays in paying for extra benefits. Other than that I love EGH!

The best part of working in the Emergency Department at Elkhart General is the great teamwork! Our Nurses and Doctors work together for the patient's best outcomes.

Cons

We are currently not a certified trauma center, but are working towards that goal. Our Emergency Department is extremely busy and fast paced-but a great place to grow your skills
