Pros

- easy training - helpful and nice trainers

Cons

- Training is not very thorough - when they say "part-time" expect 2-3 hours a week - Supervisor and scheduler communication is weak, will not answer questions for several days, even when reached in different ways (email, call, text) during the week. - There is college reimbursement, but only for Master's degrees and only for their specific schools that they are partnered with.

Thank you for your feedback. At Behavior Frontiers we strive to deliver and provide the best quality ABA services. Our training consists of extensive classroom training, as well as field training with an examination and feedback after each field training session, which is overseen by a BCBA in Seattle. Trainees have the opportunity to train with multiple clients, who have various types of interventions related to teaching new skills and reducing problem behaviors. Please note that every client’s needs are different, and their treatment plan is individualized. If our behavior technicians change their availability, this may affect the client’s progress, which is why we request a consistent schedule of availability and plan schedules months in advance. In addition, if a behavior technician makes repeated changes to their availability, this may result in a change to the number of hours that they can be scheduled. The clinical team is fully involved from the onset of training. Specifically, the BCBAs continue to provide support after the initial training stages by offering additional support and providing active feedback. If the Department of Health (DOH) for the Certified Behavior Technician Certification has delays or limited communication, this is not within our control; however, we encourage all behavior technicians to communicate their concerns to DOH. Our scheduling department has recently made changes to support the needs of our behavior technicians and clients in order to make it easier to communicate and support the entire team (e.g., phone, eportal, QR code). We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Good pay, hours are consistent, we get a heads up if there's a change of plans (no last-minute changes), nice facility, and good opportunities to get more hours.

Cons

It was more of an issue with the BCBA's I worked with. One discriminated against patients with a POC background, BCBAs are also overworked so response time to feedback and questions are slow. This is the case in most ABA facilities...BCBAs don't consider a lot of feedback tech's give and are more focused on pleasing the parents.

Thank you for your feedback. At Behavior Frontiers, we have a highly diverse, inclusive team (clinical, management, and behavior technicians). Our Clinical team takes pride in the ongoing training in cultural competence and humility. We are a company that has zero tolerance for adverse treatment, harassment or discrimination acts, for all clients and employees. Furthermore, we have a collaborative team that supports our BCBAS and their caseload needs (local and from headquarters). If a technician asks off a case, we are likely to honor the request, upon review. At Behavior Frontiers, we truly value our team members. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and are pleased to know of your enjoyment in this rewarding career. The flexibility with schedules is possible because we create a caseload based off the availability provided by our BTs. Our team also does a check in every six months to confirm any changes in availability. The availability form that you are provided with has a section that confirms how many hours you’re comfortable with working per week. We’re glad to hear that you also like our loyalty program, this is a form of appreciation for the continuous work with clients and one of the many benefits our team members receive.
