Pros

Employee discount is great, but their cons overlook the positives

Cons

Way too many to list here, but overall, the Store Manager and his goons are what is making the employment experience horrible.

Pros

Open store environment. Friendly Co-Workers. Good tech for employees to use @ work.

Cons

Was frequently asked to scan items that were late to locate on my employee phone that full time employees gave me. This bumped my metrics down & had no effect on theirs’. Many times it was not my fault & felt I was being used to make the rest of the team look better; as well as contributing to a “hire then fire” burn through of employees. Management did not give me any clarity on when I was going to be seasonally discharged. I was told I’m a great help by my managers & then got no work for 2 weeks followed by an email @ 12:06 AM from an automated system telling me I’ve “been terminated under no fault of my own” Never heard from anyone at the store again. Very disheartening and now I shop at GameStop for my tech/gaming items.

Pros

Fun. Get to service computers and truly make a difference in others lives sometimes. When I had the right team, I was growing on a personal level and as a person. A place where your extensive consumer tech knowledge will be appreciated.

Cons

Terrible pay. Zero growth opportunity. Weaponized personal growth. Zero incentive to do better both as a person and in any first line role. Constant restructuring and layoffs. Poor job security. Higher level positions were filled before they were listed internally. Inconsistent scheduling. Plenty of dry promotions.
