Pros

Hard to get fired here.

Cons

Workers who are bad for the culture but can produce numbers will take an HR case to get fired. Even that will likely result in a slap in the hand and nothing else. This applies to managers as well. You will not get a raise outside your yearly 3%. Lots of necessary recent changes but it increases workload. There is zero to minimal training for new changes outside a 2 minute video/quiz. All of this does not come with a pay increase.

Wrongful terminated

Pros

Hello my name is BLANK. I am an African American who was hired to handle geek squad escalations (call center) I enjoyed that job until they tried to wrongfully terminate me then offer me my job back or a job at any location. They tried to say I wore the wrong color shirt multiple times and I was late or called off once which is 3 strikes. I had to remind them snd tell the case worker to go back and view the write up sheets and you’ll only see 1 write up sheet that I signed. And you’ll see a sheet where they tried to write me up and you’ll see it says this isn’t his fault we (Best Buy) haven’t provided work shirts for him yet.

Cons

Once the case worker seen the truth that’s when they started to offer me my job back and more.

Pros

Good people to work with, good sense of community, certain employee discount, & and trusted company.

Cons

Schedules always changes every two weeks, managers can sometimes avoid helping associates or take longer to assist especially with Geek Squad issues, clients can sometimes be difficult (you can look at it as a positive thought because it trains you for tough situations), discounts are not fixed and vary on product, not really able to sit. Also the job is not really about repairing it’s a sales job for their tech support plans and you have to be able to check in computers quickly and move to the next client as quick as possible.
