Pros

Good work-life balance, the pay is decent, catered lunches and beer fridge are nice (but who doesn't have this nowadays in the Bay Area?).

Cons

Leadership is rotten at it's core, they talk a big game, but it's all BS. They speak of culture but the reality is the culture is just hyper political.

Thank you for the feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your experience has not been positive overall. We believe culture is an outcome of its people and how we work together. This means speaking up when things aren’t right and taking action when needed. Our survey process is one method to do this. We take the feedback seriously and we have seen year over year improvement in the results since its inception. As a company, we view our success in terms of our growth and not necessarily through an IPO. Shareholder opportunities are just one of the MANY reasons employees choose to work at BigCommerce. We work hard to attract and retain the best talent in the industry and strive to make every employee experience positive. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

Good Perks and Unlimited PTO Good working environment with interdepartmental teammates

Cons

Company is very top heavy and there are lots of office politics which make it hard to get things done or projects off the ground. We are not methodical in the way we approach or launch initiatives which directly impacts the outcome and results. Departments are very siloed and disconnected which causing gaps and on-going delays. People are overworked and this goes almost unnoticed by upper management.

Pros

-Management -Benefits -HR department -Training class allows you to get to know product well -Training class included all departments within one group -CEO,CFO, etc all speak to you as a training class when you're hired (Amazing) -Friendly enviroment for the most part

Cons

-Training class does not prepare you for anything other than the product (you won't know how to navigate customer accounts, policy on escalation, etc) -Seemed to have cliques -Call Center (They try to get you to understand this before hire, but do not refer to it as a call center position) -Most people seem to be very helpful, however, there are individuals who act as if they are inconvenienced. This is likely due to turnover rate for the support department. -The entire department is well aware of the turnover rate. Current employees will discuss how often people leave as soon as you start. This makes it difficult as a noob. -Bathroom breaks (not within 2 fifteen minute breaks or lunch period) have a 10-minute allotment- it is frowned upon to use this consistently and can lead to punishment -Policy on attendance is very strict. This is the reason most people get terminated. -Starting pay at 15 doesn't seem worth it- the ramping period is a good idea but implemented poorly.
