Pros

Parking spaces exist. Filtered water. They say happy birthday on your birthday.

Cons

Horrible management with no direction. Cliques everywhere keep winners away. Declining revenue. Location isn't close to anywhere. Politics at all levels. Don't believe any good reviews, smart people know not to be here and leave quickly. NJ has limited opportunity which is why high caliber people with integrity don't work here.

Pros

Some really talented AR pros who have stayed the course.

Cons

Let the facts speak for themselves: In the last 12 months, no less than four members of the Exec leadership team have exited the business; Either voluntarily or were walked out. By in large, this was the 'new' exec team put in place post EQT acquisition. Chief Marketing Officer: Gone. Chief Product Officer: Gone. Chief Commercial Officer: Gone. Chief Customer Officer: Gone. Many more staff from 'Senior Leadership Team' have either walked out or were dismissed. People with 8+ years there, not happy with the direction or leadership, moved on to other opportunities. The company has decided that the 'rule of 40' trumps all else in the pursuit of increasing revenue and aggressively reducing costs. This means several waves of reductions, even when profitable. The company would have a policy not to pay its vendors in a timely manner and systems were constantly being turned off as a result. (The irony of 'Billtrust').

Pros

Good training program, good sales collateral

Cons

Too many to list. The sales organization is a disaster at Billtrust. I had 5 managers in 2 years, and everyone on my team quit. The President and Chief Sales Officer give a few reps. all the best customers and accounts, and give nothing to new reps. 5 reps. do 100+% of their number, and everyone else starves, literally. This is by design. They have been doing this for years. When you are not passed a lead for over 6 months, but the senior reps. are getting dozens a month, you will figure out what is going on. Also, Billtrust went through sales managers like sh*t through a goose, regardless of the team. In my first week, the President said to me directly "we have no real competition, and we have no achilles heal". Then you find out the product is not an enterprise system, it's not global, and thee of the five modules lag way behind the competition, and a global platform has been in the works for 10 years. "Just sell around it", I was told. I am so glad I got out of there when I did. Other than learning about A/R automation during the pandemic, it was a colossal waste of professional time. Don't be lied to in the interview process about how great Billtrust is. It is a lie.
