I had a good experience working for tth Biltmore Company although it has been quite a few years since leaving.

Pros

This is one of the most beautiful places in the country to be employed. It was a joy to drive in each day. I felt that management did a good job for the most part and tried to look out for the best interest of its employees. It was fun to work at a place where you are insuring that others have a good time.

Cons

While I thought my salary was adequate, I felt that some of the positions were underpaid.

Pros

Biltmore is a very unique place to work. It is one of the most beautiful properties in the country. Overall the company philosophy and standards are very high. I feel the company really does care about the employees and the community. There are a lot of perks working for the company. We get free tickets to the estate and other attractions in the Blue Ridge Mountain community.

Cons

There is a lot of politics in some of the departments. It's hard getting weekends and holidays off. You have always be in a "good mood" even when you are having a bad day.

Pros

If you love guest services, its wonderful. I love all the people I meet everyday and getting to help them enjoy themselves. Very busy and lots to do.

Cons

Things change without thought to how the changes will effect the job, the guest or how we get to interact with them. Anything that goes wrong gets a knee jerk reaction.
