      Great place to get some experience, not a great place to stay

      Located in Minneapolis Paid time off and holiday pay

      Cons

      Equipment is falling apart Expected to ignore the SOPs Went home with rashes and migraines Not given the tools necessary to complete your job Unsafe work environment Chemical hoods were not well maintained Raises were minimal/non existent Promotions without raises

      Pros

      Nice work environment opportunity for growth

      Cons

      Runs operations beyond lean Lack of focus on one thing. Management is always pulling many directions so focus is never aligned and end product is not what it could be. Starting pay is low and expectations do not align with pay scale Some veteran management are afraid to ask for resources because they feel they will be looked at negatively. One person can only do so much before they burn out. Much of the work is becoming much more detail oriented and takes time to correctly process the information. Lots of things are neither thought through or just done half assed so you can move onto the next item on the list due to unrealistic deadlines, which are mainly due to a lack in planning

      Pros

      A stable company who is a leader in providing quality recombinant proteins. Offers good benefits, especially medical plans. Offers competitive salary for a region where the living cost is low compared to the locations of other competitors.

      Cons

      New CEO who does not understand how R&D achieved its success, but whose main goal is to raise the TECHNE stock price in order to please Board Members and receive big bonus for himself. New upper management people who are too eager to please the new CEO, but don't have much vision.
