Pros

Good benefits. Get to leave early the day before holidays. Casual Friday's. Great and talented people. I was fortunate to have one of the few good managers in the organization.

Cons

Since the retirement of CEO Kalmin, Biobridge has not been able to find a good leader to permanently fill that role. Leadership turnover from the CEO to executive management level is extremely high. Pay is low for all the work that is asked of you. Strategic goals are not aligned to organization culture. Organization has wasted money on creating a department to focus on strategic goals with staff that does not understand or respect the experts of the business or support service roles. Morale is very low.

Pros

So much potential. The market is competitive but Biobridge & sub companies have many advantages that provide so much potential, growth, and quality products. The workerbees are typically good people that invest in this organization and are willing to go the extra mile.

Cons

The identity of this organization no longer exists. The culture is an unnecessarily cut throat highly political environment. If you know the right people, you can easily make your way up without any skill. Decisions are fear based. If a popular high level person says something - even if it's morally or culturally wrong, it's pushed and cheered almost. If you get in the way, you're out! Due to the latest 'strategic goals', folks are willing to do whatever it takes to keep their job. Managers and uppers have no problem throwing anyone under the bus. The talent that was or still is there is slowly getting plucked away, leaving as fast as they can, or getting thrown out. Decisions are also based on emotions.

Huge Layoff

Pros

The patients of south Texas need a local supplier to be there when blood is needed, ready to help.

Cons

The leadership in place has lost sight of the primary function and though employee engagement is tauted as a high priority, loyal employees are thrown away like garbage when the going gets tough. The recent poor financial performance is not a direct result of employee lack of effort. It is the result of c level officers who have their priorities misplaced. When a RIF is necessary, the dignity of those separated is not considered. Extreme secrecy and closed door clandestine activities are the rule rather than the exception.
