Pros

I'm surrounded by the incredibly talented people on a 360 basis -- folks who take their job seriously and want to make an impact. This is observed daily from the CEO on down to the front line. The company is great at nurturing talent when the commitment is there by the employee. If you apply yourself here, you are rewarded. For those with a great work ethic and life outlook, this is a place to challenge yourself and develop your skills. This is not a place where laziness or incompetence is accepted or rewarded -- there is no "failing upwards" at Black Rifle Coffee. What remains is a great talent base, each of whom carry their own weight as we march towards a collective company goal -- just as it should be.

Cons

Fast growing company -- and all the challenges that come with that. If you want a slow paced job in an industry that isn't innovating - go work at Luby's.

Empty Promises and Out of Touch

Pros

The dogs and operations level people.

Cons

Worked for over a year for the company and watched it go extremely negative. The executives and directors constantly make promises with zero follow through and proceed to continually push out deadlines on these decisions. They also urge for transparency and honesty, but then if any employees reach out they are retaliated against by their managers and directors. This is often accompanied by their prize winning slogan, "Be happy or get out", while failing to ask why their employees might be upset or what they need. Their concerns are only for their income and internet personas. If you served in the military you would recognize working at the company as being a toxic leadership cess pool with a zero vote of confidence in their ability to make decisions for your own well being. Their pay and benefits for the positions they put you in are equally as abyssal as the culture. Employees quickly realized they make up to a third of what their peers make for similar positions in other companies, which given how much BRCC generates and for their number of employees is laughable. While executives buy new houses and toys that they flaunt on social media and amongst those within the company, their employees must withdraw from retirement accounts or ask for pay advances to cover their bills. It's painful and tragic to watch and especially given how little recognition employees get for their sacrifices. To anyone looking at this company for a job opportunity, it's in your best interest to look elsewhere. Working at BRCC is thankless, draining, logic defying, and harmful to your overall health. It's deeply ironic that a company espousing the military values can only recreate the worst parts about the service.
