Pros

Great co-workers and clients and offers full telecommuting and relatively little travel. Good health and 401k benefits.

Cons

No educational opportunities. Not even seminars or job related on-line classes. In order to keep up your job skills, you have to keep up your education or you cannot stay current. Then when you no longer have a job, your skills are outdated. This is also a high stress job since you manage concurrent clients and someone always has a big problem.

Pros

There are lots of entry level and mid-level openings. The company is stable and there are opportunities for advancement to a certain level. Charleston is an amazing place.

Cons

No longer employee focused. Products seem to be stuck. Blackbaud is now at a size were it is hard to make changes and stay on top of the latest technology.

Pros

Great clients! Some good people are there, too.

Cons

Management is atrocious!!! They only care about their goals, not yours. The chance of advancement to management is slim, though Blackbaud often tauts the opportunities in customer support. Note some of these reviews indicate that people sat in the same position for 3-4 years before making it to management. Considering you need no technical background (or so they say) for a support role, why should it be so hard to make it to management? Do you really want to stay entry level, with no raise, mind you, for 4 years until someone else leaves and there is an opening? No incentives. Rewards are inconsistent.
