Pros

- free beer on occassion - 20 days PTO - benefits are great - Some of the customers are really nice

Cons

- They do not have a proper support system, unless you've worked here a few years - Employees are not welcoming - If you work with financials, expect to have the knowledge of an accountant - Miscommunication and misinformation. - Clients call in constantly dissatisfied with the product and the overall customer support experience - Call center environment - Racism: They typically do not promote POC - Training is horrible: All self-taught. The excuse is to "research it" which causes both rep and clients wasted time - too many hoops to jump through for schedule

Pros

Some very intelligent, friendly people work here. People in the Austin office in particular are wonderful. Benefits are okay - not great, but not bad either. Ability to get additional time off for volunteer work is a bonus.

Cons

Probably the worst management I have ever encountered, from senior executives right down the chain. A culture of blame first, ask questions later prevails. You know it's a bad sign when middle managers start fleeing the company in droves. A general sense of malaise and apathy permeates the company, and morale is horrible. I would advise anyone who is even considering working for this company to look elsewhere. If you are working for Blackbaud, know that it gets better when you leave.

Pros

- Generous PTO (6 weeks) - Kind and empathetic team members - Immediate team truly cared about the customers

Cons

- Extremely low pay (over $30K below median for role) - Lack of trust from management (read: dictation on features based on large contracts, not discovery driven) - Have to plan out year in advance (waterfall) and make sales promises, which locks you into which features to build. - Lack of experimentation (no A/B testing or willingness to quickly try ideas and pull/change them if they don't work) - Extremely high attrition. - Lack of accountability to outcomes (since features are dictated/road mapped, teams aren't held responsible if their core metrics aren't improving)
