      Great company, if you're in the right team

      Pros

      Good benefits, time off for volunteering, occasionally good food and drink

      Cons

      If you're not on the right team or have a bad manager you won't get the support you need. You'll never move up without schmoozing and the pay is eh for what you're doing. Support structure has made things less personable and more Comcast-y in the worst way.

      Killed a great product, and a great team

      Pros

      Convio, the company that Blackbaud purchased, was the only Pro to Blackbaud as a whole. But then they drove out all of Convio's best employees, and products, and we were left with nothing to hold onto.

      Cons

      No transparency through upper management. Company headed in so many directions and so many cooks in the kitchen it's hard to understand where you fit into the bigger picture. So many bottlenecks and hoops to jump through each time a change needs to be made or take care of a customer. So many constant management changes it's hard to have any progress for the betterment of the customers and employees alike.

      Pros

      The people at my level doing the work were great.

      Cons

      The directors and executives don't do any work, but rather take lots of days "working at home" and do no real work other than getting on conference call to tell everyone what to do. They aren't appropriate for their positions either. Many of them have achieved their status by being bad at their jobs.
