Pros

Great co-workers, sometimes. Some very weak coworkers as well. Thats about it. No Drug tests

Cons

Micromanagement heaven. They will watch your every move. Cut 401k match with COVID. Work from home culture blows. Management is highly political and uses the word "transparency" a lot... even though they don't tell you a lot. Feels like a dying company. They do a great job at making you feel like a number. Cut the PAE1 position which was the vertical growth path of a BDR. No promotions or pay raises till November 2021. No overtime pay. Highly liberal and political. Low pay. If you don't hit quota you are below poverty line.

Pros

The people you work with are some of the best, they live in the pain with you. You get to work with some nice customers and missions The new office is nice

Cons

Where do we start? If you do a quick google search you'll see that each year comes with layoffs, covered up by virtue of "restructuring". The stock price dropped from over $100 to $50 (prior to covid) and there's good reason. The product line is way too robust for great sales delivery and needs to be restructured, half baked products don't sell well and word gets out to other potential customers quickly. Upper sales management is a joke, they don't give a damn about the sales staff, you'll hear from them at occasional all hands, maybe in your team meeting where they are clearly not up-to-date on what's going on in the market or on the sales floor and then you'll never see them again. They may even sit right behind you and never say a word to you. The pay is sub-par when you compare it to the software industry, and now that jobs are opening remotely its time to step up and pay people what they are worth. ( I think this is slowly changing). Careful that you don't sell too large of a deal because they will take half of your commissions away. (just split it into two separate deals and they won't say a word) Listen - a VP who left the company (he was a good one) told one of the employees that it was a nightmare in upper management trying to get things done and that nothing would change.... seems he has been right. There is no employee development, just week after week 1x1 asking what is going to close and some aggressive threats... not how do we work on getting better at this whole process? They won't listen to feedback and most people are just there taking a paycheck. See if you can find someone who has left and says the regret it, I have $100 you wont find them. Take a team picture in sales and in upper management, then look for diversity, I have $100 you wont find much there either. (they have done better about female inclusion).

Pros

The company is a leader in the social good space and continues to have a great leadership team. The people are great and it feels great to work with non-profits.

Cons

One of the ways the company grows is they continue to acquire companies for their technologies and clients. As a result, there are often several rounds of layoffs as these new companies are incorporated with the other Blackbaud products/services. Unfortunately, the decisions for layoffs are often made to benefit the shareholders at the expense of some great dedicated employees.
