Great Benefits, Poor Managerial Skills

Pros

The benefits are awesome. Health insurance premiums have become very expensive and Blackhawk offers low monthly premiums for a PPO plan that covers the entire family. Considering you could be paying $1000 or more a month at smaller companies, this is a huge benefit to consider when reviewing your overall salary.

Cons

Misclassifying employees as exempt when they are not exempt by California labor laws. Unprofessional and unethical managerial behavior that is swept under the rug by other managers and HR. Discriminatory treatment by managers after returning from medical leave.

Pros

Okay benefits lots of activities and company sponsored events.

Cons

Too many organizational changes happening. Several knowledgeable people are being under paid and under utilized which results in resignations occurring way too often. Lots of talk about good things to come but no improvement shown over the past 3 years.

Pros

- Strong teammates - Part of steadily growing area of the business - Gaining experience in corporate environment and skills that you wouldn't get in other companies

Cons

- Top executives have no respect for employees that are not upper upper management; this tendency trickles down into other departments as well - Senior managers/ team leads don't have the proper training needed to direct a large group of individuals - Lack of consistency in management; allowing perks to certain employees and limiting the same perks to others - No room or opportunities to grow: young, promising employees are limited and not given the chance to succeed or show their strengths
