Pros

Pay, commute time from my house.

Cons

When I received this position I was so excited because of the pay and because everyone seemed so nice during the first week of the job but then this slowly changed. I was having an issue with my manager being unwilling to train me and I eventually found out that she was telling other people she was spending all of this time training me. During our training sessions, she would never get to my questions or explain the job processes and many of the training sessions consisted of us repeating the items she had already gone over. When I tried to be proactive and go outside the group, my manager used intimidation in her scolding to basically warn me to not reach out this other individual. The lady I reached out to was the only one willing to train me or give me access to the software and database systems I needed to be able to complete some of the demands of my job. I finally had enough with the lack of training by my manager and sent my manager an email and copied some higher executives on the email. After this email, the retaliation escalated and I was put on a 30 day performance plan with the understanding this was to simply ensure that I knew what the expectations were and was meeting them since I was so new to the company. Little to my knowledge, this was so they would have grounds to terminate me. I documented to HR that no one else within the department was meeting these deadlines or held to these standards. Nothing was said to me for two weeks and so I assumed I was doing good and the situation was resolved. Any of the items that my manager had put on my 30 day performance plan, were blatant lies with no proof of backing, which I provided proof they were blatant lies; but none of this mattered to them. I was out sick on Monday, which I had earned 8 hours of sick time, and my manager sent me a text to call her if I had time to discuss something. I never returned her call because I was extremely sick and slept all day. Little did I know the reason she wanted me to call was because they were terminating me. When I came into work on Tuesday, my badge didn't work and thankfully someone let me in. I proceeded to try to login to my computer and I was unable to login. I had someone help me get a hold of HR and that's when they informed me that I was terminated because I hadn't met the 30 day performance goals. I stated that I had provided proof that no one else was meeting these goals. HR stated that it didn't matter and this decision was final. My manager's boss preceded to tell me I couldn't go to my desk, which is where my purse was and I stated you can't stop me from getting my belongings but she sure was intimating me and harassing me the whole time I was gathering my belongs. I hope you head my warning. This company has no intention on training their people and the amount of work load is too much for the few head count. The other lady in my group worked 10 to 12 hours a day just trying to keep a float. I worked at another bigger international fortune 500 company, and they had 3 times the head count for the amount of work that is expected to be completed by a very slim workforce.

Pros

Busy company with opportunities for professional development. Management has been so bad, that it can't get much worse.

Cons

Too many acquisitions, callous handling, bad leadership, poor planning, disorganization, and total confusion. ALOT of long time staff cut their losses and left.

Pros

Great people! It's the people that keep employees there.

Cons

President is fairly naïve about how to run a company They are not employee focused -- it's all about the number Only the top levels receive bonuses They pay under market They have very outdated systems and don't want to invest to current, automated solutions It is always a blame game instead of learning from mistakes and moving forward Rewards and recognition are unheard of
