Pros

Commute is great. At least for me.

Cons

After the silverlake aquisition, a lot of good folks have left the company. Now I am hearing stories where managers are actively trying to fire people. I can't speak for other teams, but in IT we all are lost. There is no guidance. There is no vision. Nobody seems to know what they are working on and what for. Almost everybody is just waiting for inevitable big layoff. They should just pull the trigger sooner than later. Hope they start with the incompetent managers. They are the worst really.

Pros

Benefits are nice and depending on your office and boss, work hours are flexible.

Cons

This company doesn't know what they are doing. They have been around for 10 years now and they still function as if they are a startup. Not the good type of startup. It's normal to have about 2-3 reorg every year and expect them to pay you under market price for your experience. They are a "budget" company when looking for talent and no room for advancement. A lot of shady and questionable thing going on here. Many turns over as well.

Pros

For me, just location. People that are coming from the east bay and cannot get into Workday, this is for you.

Cons

Executives (CFO, CEO, BoD) are focused on showing $$ so shareholders are happy (even if it takes closing an entire office). Middle Management (CTO, VP's) are focused on building resumes (changing solutions even if it's working great) and vesting their RSU's. Directors and below are the only ones showing concern about improving/fixing the services/infrastructure but most do not know what they're doing and the ones that do and are good are having a hard time being heard. HR Team is a joke. They are only concerned about the company not getting sued. They do not care for the employees. They talk to you and give you a big smile but as you turn around they are probably sighing in relief that you are gone already. They have surveys like GLINT and Flyers "How are you feeling today" campaign but nothing is getting done no matter how you respond to it. I know as it's been two years and they have not changed. Most employees here are not happy. The ones that are happy here are probably friends with upper management as favoritism is rampant here.
